When you connect the SmartRemote to a socket using the micro USB plug, the orange light on the SmartRemote starts blinking. This blinking indicates that the battery is currently being charged. The SmartRemote is equipped with a Li-ion battery, and it takes approximately 4 hours to charge the battery fully from an empty state. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the orange light remains steadily lit while connected to the plug.

Once fully charged, the SmartRemote provides up to 8 hours of battery life when used with a Bluetooth connection. Without Bluetooth, it can last up to 16 hours. When the battery is nearly depleted, the orange light starts blinking rapidly, and you can expect approximately 30 more minutes of usage from that point.

To check if the SmartRemote is running low on battery, simply press the Bluetooth button. If the blue light does not illuminate or blink, it's an indicator that the battery is empty and needs to be recharged.
